The commercialization of art
began during the Industrial Revolution, when mass production increased, and the
design of advertising and sales materials became a thriving
industry. Examples of commercial art include posters, print
advertisements, and billboards.  Commercialism in art refers to the emphasis on the maximizing of profit through commercial
activity and the commercialization of art, where artistic expression becomes
intertwined with consumer culture.

My name is LOGO5.  I am a self-taught artist.  Consumers are bombarded by brands in popular
culture every day.  My pieces elevate
branding and logos as works of art.  LOGO5
wants to embrace commercialization.
LOGO5 places recognizable commercial brands in the middle of the work, then
surrounds the images with colors and strokes resembling abstract
expressionism.  The main art styles that
are utilized are Pop Art, Abstract Expressionism, and Graffiti.  LOGO5 also collages and blends sections of
commercial imagery with his own painting process.

I want to remain anonymous and without any
race, gender, ethnicity, age, or country of origin defining myself or the
artwork.  No piece will ever be titled.  I do not want the work to have any
sentimental or meaning behind any of the pieces.  The artwork will be available in posters,
canvas giclees, and wraps.
